Yosemite Valley - Yosemite, CA
I have wanted to go back to Yosemite ever since I first visited with my parents a few years ago. The weather was perfect and we were able to go hiking and rafting down the Merced River. I haven't been camping since I was 5, so I was nervous about cooking over a fire and sleeping in a tent. Not to mention the bears! Everything went well and I only got a couple bug bites!
We got to our campsite right before sunset, so I got to photograph Half Dome and the dear in amazing light. The sunlight at the campground was incredible when it hit the smoke from everyone's campfires. I even got to attempt taking photos of the stars late at night. I still need some practice, but I might have caught a meteor!
